I don't think so! That fee smacks back to the olden days of cellular service, when each text message would cost $.50 to send. Those days are gone! T-Mobile has good enough service everywhere that you really don't need satellite service unless you are WAY out in the desert or up in the mountains where there really aren't any cell towers.

For the beta, Boost Infinite users will be using either T-Mobile or AT&T's respective networks. But the carrier's goal for the service in the first quarter is to have users dynamically switch between all three options depending on which offers the best experience where they are.
t-mobile beta Page Plus PAYG ($10/120 days w/ rollover) is my main phone. Back-up is T-Mobile Legacy PAYGO account (no data option) at $1/year. Neither Mobi or Airalo have rollover data. Data only. I rarely use T&T. 30 minutes total talk in 3+ years and rarely more than $1 ($0.05 per) for texts in a month. Use data (or WiFi) for apps and iMessage.
According to this T-Mobile Google Group posting, users interested in participating must be a T-Mobile USA subscriber with an unlimited data plan in a T-Mobile coverage area (not roaming), and you must have a Nokia 5230 Nuron, Nokia E73 or Nokia N900 phone.

For most of the time I have had Smartphones & PPC's, I have used PIE. I purchased PIE Plus and enjoyed that too. A lot of people on here & Treo Central said they use Opera and like it better.
